ADHD Chronicles: A Teen’s Hilarious Take on Social Shenanigans

Teen Ethan turns ADHD into a stand-up comedy, enlightening his parents on the wild social adventures and uproarious mishaps that define his unique, chaotic, and laughter-filled teenage world.

Story # 1 A Teen’s Hilarious Take on Social Shenanigans

Once upon a time in the bustling household of the Duncans, teenage chaos reigned supreme. Young Ethan, armed with a flair for humor and a dash of self-awareness, decided it was high time to discuss his adventures in the land of ADHD with his unsuspecting parents.

“Mom, Dad, gather around. We need to have a serious talk,” Ethan announced, theatrically gesturing to the living room as if it were a stage.

His parents exchanged curious glances, unsure of what theatrical production Ethan was about to unveil. With a flourish, Ethan began, “Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the untold tale of how ADHD has transformed my social life into a chaotic comedy!”

He dove into a hilarious monologue, detailing the epic struggles of navigating conversations with the speed of a caffeinated squirrel and the attention span of a goldfish. “You see, making plans with friends is like herding cats. One moment, we’re discussing weekend hangouts; the next, I’m chasing an impulse to conquer the world’s record for the most consecutive cartwheels in the living room.”

His parents couldn’t help but burst into laughter, realizing they were in for a comedic performance rather than a lecture. Ethan continued, “And group projects? Picture this: I’m the tornado of creativity, swirling through ideas faster than anyone can comprehend. It’s like a brainstorming session on fast-forward – a cinematic masterpiece.”

As Ethan wove his humorous narrative, his parents gained insight into the comical side of ADHD, finding laughter amidst the chaos. In that living room, amidst exaggerated tales and uproarious laughter, the Duncan family discovered that understanding ADHD could be a journey filled with joy, one laugh at a time.

Sandra doesn’t have a magic wand, but I feel like she has empowered me to create some magic with my own kid.

To be honest, strengthening him in academics was just a perk/bonus compared to what she deposited into our family mentally and spiritually. Teaching me how to teach him, giving me the tools to adjust my mental state to accommodate HIS GROWTH AT THE PACE HE NEEDED TO FLOURISH AND SOAR! Michael is now reading at a strong 2nd-grade level and can make his bed, sort laundry, sweep, vacuum, and cook sausage/waffles. To other families that’s nothing, but for us, it’s a gift we are forever grateful for. Thank you, Ms. . Sandra

My husband and I have been desperate to help our disabled son become potty trained. When I reached out to my local, support group on Facebook several Moms immediately told me to contact Sandra! I trust this group so much; I knew if several Moms referred the same person, this person would be helpful! I contacted Sandra- She was fabulous; she showed up so happy and positive, and we immediately agreed on a plan. Long story short, my son made more progress once we started working with Sandra than ever before!! Highly recommend working with Sandra!

Sandra, you have taught me to be okay with not responding to everything my child says or does. It’s okay to not respond because of my nonresponse is a response.
